POSITION SUMMARY: As a Regional Director of Operations, you will oversee the operations of our senior living communities in the Pacific Northwest region. This leadership role focuses on delivering high-quality care, driving operational excellence, meeting financial goals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Regional Director works closely with community leadership teams to promote a positive, resident-centered environment while fostering a culture of performance, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
- Direct and oversee day-to-day operations of our memory care and assisted living communities in the assigned region, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery.
- Evaluate and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and financial performance.
- Monitor key performance metrics and provide leadership to community Executive Directors and their teams to achieve optimal results.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage operating budgets for communities, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Analyze financial reports and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Drive revenue growth through occupancy, service line expansion, and effective cost management.
Resident and Family Satisfaction:
- Ensure communities provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for residents.
- Address and resolve any resident or family concerns promptly and effectively.
- Maintain high resident satisfaction by ensuring care plans are personalized and implemented properly.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all communities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies.
- Lead preparation for audits and inspections, ensuring any deficiencies are addressed and rectified in a timely manner.
Staff Development and Leadership:
- Support and mentor community leadership, particularly Executive Directors, fostering a strong management team.
- Lead performance management, including setting expectations, providing feedback, and developing succession plans.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set strategic goals for the region.
- Identify growth opportunities and work to expand services or increase occupancy across communities.
- Lead regional initiatives and projects that align with company-wide objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5-7 years of management experience in senior living, long-term care, or a healthcare-related industry.
- Proven track record of operational leadership across multiple sites or regions.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal senior living regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to travel regularly within the region.
- Leadership and people management.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must have strong understanding of the English language, sufficient to read and write.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Walk/Stand – must be able to continuously walk and stand.
- Environment Condition – must be able to perform work both inside and outside.
- Sit – sit infrequently.
- Lift - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
- Carry - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
- Push - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
- Climb – must be able to climb stairs on a frequent basis, with the opportunity to utilize the elevator as an alternate resource if available.
- Bend – must be able to bend at the waist, knees, hips, and spine on a frequent basis; may require frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
- Squat – must be able to squat on a frequent basis to reach below the knee, may require lifting of 50 pounds or less.
- Twist or rotate – must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and neck, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
