Island Time Watersports is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our fleet, including jet skis, vessels, small crafts, golf carts, vehicles, channel markers, and swim buoys. This role is essential in ensuring that our equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for our customers. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of mechanics, coordinating maintenance schedules, supervising repairs, ensuring all work adheres to safety and operational standards, and source and order parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:

Lead, manage, and motivate a team of mechanics responsible for the maintenance and repair of jetskis, vessels, and small crafts, non motorized, channel markers, golf carts, and vehicles.

Assign tasks and monitor the performance of the team to ensure high-quality work is completed on time.

Provide training and guidance to the mechanic team, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.

Recruiting and interviewing for new technicians and team members.
Maintenance & Repair Operations:

Oversee the regular maintenance schedules for all equipment, including jetskis, vessels, and small crafts.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure timely and effective repairs are carried out.

Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Inventory & Resource Management:

Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for repairs and maintenance.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of necessary parts and materials.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair activities, and logs.
Safety Compliance:

Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.

Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and the maintenance facility.

Implement and enforce safety training for the maintenance team.
Coordination & Communication:

Communicate effectively with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth operational flow.

Prepare and submit reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and team performance.

Conduct weekly maintenance meetings with the team.
Qualifications
-
Proven experience in marine maintenance, with a strong understanding of jetski, vessel, and small craft repair.

Prior supervisory or management experience, preferably in a similar role.

Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.

Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in marine maintenance.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred:

Certifications in marine mechanics or related fields.
