Mission: 

Design and maintain a financial system that’s clean, fast, scalable, and decision-ready. Your role is to keep the company’s financials lean, accurate, and immediately actionable. This is not a maintenance role—it’s a critical function in scaling our operation with confidence.

Using DOGE principles daily:

Delete what’s unnecessary.
Optimize what’s clunky.
Generalize what’s overly specific.
Execute with speed and clarity.

You will:

• Own full-cycle accounting across multiple entities in QuickBooks Online
• Close the books—fast and accurately—by the 5th business day each month
• Prepare monthly financial statements that actually inform leadership decisions
• Track and categorize every dollar of revenue, expense, capex, and liability
• Build weekly cash flow reports and forward-looking forecasts
• Drive variance analysis and give early warning on financial drift
• Identify inefficiencies, recommend changes, and eliminate waste
• Create automated workflows and durable SOPs for recurring processes
• Own the reconciliation process—bank, credit cards, intercompany, payroll
• Collaborate with leadership and external finance partners (CPA, CFO) to ensure compliance and strategic readiness
• This is a build-and-improve role, not a “keep it running” role.

The person we're looking for has: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  
• 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
  
• Deep familiarity with QuickBooks Online, GAAP, and financial reporting
  
• A builder’s mindset—you streamline systems instead of tolerating friction
  
• Exceptional clarity and speed in both numbers and communication
  
• Ability to zoom in to the detail and zoom out to the big picture
  
• Zero excuses. Full ownership.
  
• High trustworthiness with sensitive data
  
• Fluent in spreadsheets, automation tools, and accounting software
  
• Knows that “done” means it works without needing follow-up
