Description

Summary  


The Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Security Engineer will be responsible for researching, configuring, implementing, securing, and maintaining various cloud-based enterprise applications. The Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Security Engineer ensures that CSD’s enterprise architecture is implemented using established policies and security best practices. They will also be responsible for maintaining all systems with the most recent updates and patches. Through a customer-centric approach, the Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Security Engineer works independently but is also an integral part of the IT team who works to ensure that the highest level of service is provided to all customers.


Essential Functions

  • Designs, engineers, and manages the implementation of new and existing cloud-based technologies including video communications technology; researches the best solution based on requirements developed with the customer, configures the chosen solution to customer specifications, integrates the solution with other business systems, and secures the technology according to industry security best practices
  • Establishes and enforces appropriate end-user access controls for all cloud-based applications
  • Reviews and deploys cloud system releases and vendor-supplied patches according to departmental policies and industry best practices
  • Anticipates, identifies, responds to, and resolve issues with cloud-based applications and associated systems
  • Leads a comprehensive information security program encompassing all physical and virtual information technology infrastructure
  • Leads, develops, audits, and enforces compliance frameworks such as PCI, SOC2, and SSAE on all covered applications
  • Manages a technology-centric compliance program focused on ensuring client data security and business requirements
  • Serves as primary point of contact for managing information security programs for complex enterprise environments
  • Researches and makes recommendations on cloud products, services, and standards in support of procurement, development, operations, and application management efforts
  • Monitors, analyzes, and predicts trends for cloud infrastructure performance, space allocation, and data growth to recommend and implement enhancements as necessary
  • Develops and maintains cloud application support and architecture documentation
  • Monitors and maintains the health of CSD’s supported cloud-based applications
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  

  • Proven ability to manage enterprise-class cloud-based solutions such as Office365, Dynamics365, Project Operations Platform, and Microsoft Teams, or other similar platforms
  • Expertise using VoIP technologies and platforms, particularly Five9 and Freeswitch
  • Knowledge of enterprise cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platform
  • Knowledge of web servers, such as WordPress, Plesk, and Apache
  • Proven ability to manage Active Directory domains
  • Expertise in both Windows and Linux server design, implementation, and management
  • Ability to configure and manage helpdesk ticket tracking systems
  • Expertise in compliance frameworks such as PCI, NIST 800-53, SSAE16, and SOC2
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking technologies including firewalls, switches, and basic WAN management
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunication systems


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a cloud administrator
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a system and/or network administrator (PREFERRED)
  • Professional experience managing compliance frameworks such as SSAE16, PCI, HIPAA, or SOC2 (PREFERRED)
  • AWS, CCNP/CCIE, MCSE/MCSA, or other professional certifications (PREFERRED)
  • Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language (PREFERRED)
