There is a lot of room for new ideas and innovations and you will be supported to have a continuous focus on development, coaching and creating a supportive environment for your team.</p><p></p><p><b>Your Team </b></p><p>The Design Enablement - Analog department, is providing design tools and solutions for designers working on analog, mixed A/D signal and RF integrated circuits. We are currently looking for a student for a 6-month internship to automate the generation of the device mapping files (DMFs) (schematic and layout) required to execute a technology porting, meaning the port a design from a technology node to a different technology node and/or foundry with multiple Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools.</p><p></p><p><b>Your Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li><p>Basic familiarization with IC design environment</p></li><li><p>Learn from PDK (Process Design Kit) engineers and device physicians</p></li><li><p>Understand the principles and limitations of technology porting</p></li><li><p>Automate the formatting of the schematic device mapping files for a selection of EDA vendors</p></li><li><p>Automate the formatting of the layout device mapping files for a selection of EDA vendors</p></li><li><p>Build a verification flow to validate that the DMFs are executed properly</p></li><li><p>Build a regression test to verify DMF updates</p></li><li><p>Apply the device mapping files to real design porting circuits (schematic & layout)</p></li><li><p>User documentation</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What’s in it for you</b></p><ul><li><p>A great opportunity to develop your skills (technical, soft skills, communication, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Gaining experience in a multinational and diverse environment</p></li><li><p>Possibility to become part of NXP’s Young Professional Talent Pool</p></li><li><p>Working on real assignments which contribute to NXP’s objectives</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Your Profile</b></p><ul><li><p>Master of Science - last year of electrical engineer school</p></li><li><p>Affinity with Python language development</p></li><li><p>Experience in Linux environment ‒ all our development tools are running on this platform</p></li><li><p><span>Versioning/data-management</span> tools</p></li><li><p>Cadence Virtuoso knowledge</p></li><li><p>Good level of English is required (attendance to meetings / presentations with international team, reading and writing of documentation)</p></li><li><p>Cadence SKILL language is a plus</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Duration </b></p><p>This is a full-time internship (40 hours per week) with a duration of 6 months or longer. The assignment could also be suitable as a thesis/graduation project.
