Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts for government contracts.
- Perform detailed financial analysis on cost, pricing, and profitability of contracts.
- Prepare variance analysis reports and explain significant variances to management.
- Support strategic planning by providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Government Contracting Compliance:
- Ensure all financial activities comply with FAR, CAS, and other relevant government regulations.
- Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to assess financial implications and compliance risks.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of cost proposals and other contract-related financial documents.
- Work closely with the contracts team to monitor contract performance and compliance.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of indirect cost rates and other financial schedules required for government audits.
- Audit Support:
- Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) audit requirements.
- Address and resolve audit findings and recommendations in a timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay current on industry trends and government regulations impacting financial management in government contracting.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve overall organizational performance.
