RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand and apply all the Industrial Safety requirements for the Instrument and Electrical crafts in the assigned plants or shops.
• Uses all common tools of the Instrument/Electrical crafts, be able to use hand tools, power tools and electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of gaskets, packing, bolts, anchors, hoses, metallurgy, and field mounting techniques associated with electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical lighting, instrumentation, and electrical maintenance/installation principles both hands-on and theoretical knowledge.
• Work on Instrumentation Calibration and configuration, Pneumatic Control Valves Actuators and Positioners, Performing Loop Checks, Troubleshooting and Commissioning a Loop, Process Control Loops and Tuning.
• Perform Grounding and Bonding applications, heat tracing and freeze protection.
• Understand and apply Motors Theory and its applications.
• Capable of performing basic to mid-level installation from low voltage to high voltage, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, instrumentation and analytical equipment, including Motor Controls, Distribution Equipment and Transformer Applications.
• Understands and mentors others on circuit breakers and fuses, detectors, Secondary Elements, Transducers, and Transmitters.
• Demonstrates knowledge of equipment including, but is not limited to Pumps and Drives, Valves, Material Handling and Hand Rigging.
• Demonstrated I/E ability and experience to read, interpret, and implement electrical codes, manuals, procedures, schematic diagrams, P&ID’s, blue prints and other specifications.
• Works on the installation of power supply and signal wiring/cables, cable tray and conduit for newly installed machines, electrical equipment, instrumentation, distributive control systems, signal interface cabinets and telephone systems.
• Replaces faulty electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines, electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Perform routine/non-routine housekeeping jobs to keep work area clean and safe.
• Ability to interact in a productive manner in a team environment

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School education or equivalent required, 2-year degree in technical field preferred.
• 3+ years experience required, 5+ years preferred.
• Ideally an IBEW Journeyman electrician or possess Master Electricians License and 3+ years exp.
• Instrumentations/Electrical/Controls experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with Rockwell Software platforms such as Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View SE and ME, Plant PAX, Intellicenter MCCs, Logix 500 and Connected Components Workbench.
• Programming PLCs using Ladder Logic, Function Block, and Structured Text.
• High voltage and low voltage power and control distribution systems.
• Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing priorities with Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with external and international customers and vendors.
• Ability to perform on-call, respond to after-hour emergencies, and weekend coverage as necessary.
• Ability to perform supervisory duties when required.Strong computer and troubleshooting skills.
