This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.

 

The VP Risk Management provides leadership and direction for the Credit, Risk Management, and Business Intelligence departments. The position provides oversight and review of the organization’s portfolio, and is responsible for defining, building and maintaining business-wide, consistent, profit-based credit policies compliant with all regulations, with the flexibility to allow us to offer attractive, competitive programs to our customers. Responsible for implementation and maintenance of prudent loan administration programs across the business. Additionally, provides direction to the design, development, integrity, and maintenance of data, analytics, reports, and dashboards to deliver business intelligence critical to decision-making throughout the company.
 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Provide vision and strategic leadership to the organization.
  • Serve as key member on Financial Services Leadership Team to oversee broader business strategies and operations. 
  • Develop credit and go-to-market strategies that balance risk and profitability
  • Oversee and lead the loss forecast, collections analytics and business intelligence functions
  • Lead analytics on emerging risks and impact on loss forecast of the outstanding portfolio.
  • Own collections analytics to maximize recoveries and improve operations efficiency.
  • Manage credit performance for our credit facilities through loss forecast, profitability analysis and provide timely information to management team.
  • Directly and indirectly monitor the lending portfolio to ensure that the organization operates in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as approved policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, update and recommend changes to policies and procedures as it pertains, but is not limited to, underwriting criteria, decision authorities, pricing guidelines, collections and charge-offs.
  • Periodically reviews, interprets, reevaluates, and communicates the adequacy and effectiveness of established and approved policies and procedures.
  • Represent the best interests of the business to the various boards and committees supporting the governance of the company.
  • Provide strategic direction to the Business Intelligence area to ensure the company continues to evolve in its data integrity, analysis, and reporting capabilities.
  • Interface with Harley-Davidson Motor Company (HDMC) and Harley-Davidson, Inc. (HDI) on appropriate issues.
  • Partner with appropriate cross-functional teams, including Treasury, to support key initiatives as engaging rating agencies, regulators, etc.
