Sr. Security Engineer

<p><strong>As a BedRock Sr. Security Engineer, you will:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Research and design new and novel security mechanisms for a Linux OS</p></li><li><p>Implement and develop security mechanisms in C and C++, which includes writing test cases and addressing bugs</p></li><li><p>Communicate with management and colleagues regarding research findings and design ideas</p></li></ul><p><strong>You could be a great fit for this role if you have: (Must Haves)</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and engineering experience</p></li><li><p>5+ years of experience in building and securing software platforms from the bottom up, designing full-stack scalable software products, preferably in C++, Java, Go or similar/developing a container-based security tool</p></li><li><p>Proficient C or C++ programmer</p></li><li><p>Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure/other Cloud , OpenShift, EKS/AKS/GKE</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with server-side/backend security and development for large-scale systems</p></li><li><p>A firm understanding of microservice architecture principles and event-driven distributed systems</p></li><li><p>Strong design and architecture skills</p></li><li><p>Understanding of IT security principles</p></li><li><p>Understanding of OS kernel principles</p></li><li><p>Collaborative team player with a “can-do” attitude</p></li><li><p>Startup mentality, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and accommodate shifts in priorities</p></li></ul><p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Linux kernel programming experience</p></li><li><p>Professional experience developing security systems</p></li><li><p>DevSecOps mindset</p></li><li><p>Previous experience developing security systems</p></li><li><p>Active participant in relevant industry conferences</p></li></ul>
