Operations Manager, Maintenance

Annual Salary Range:  $75,000.00-$80,000.00 US Dollars
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.  You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm *+Weekends *+On Call (*As needed)

Position Summary: 
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems as well as managing a team of maintenance technicians to achieve optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Operations Management:

o Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of facility equipment and systems.

o Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment upgrades, to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations.

o Oversee the troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to maintain uninterrupted facility operations.

2. Team Leadership and Development:

o Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

o Schedule and assign tasks to maintenance staff, ensuring adequate coverage and timely completion of work orders.

o Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify opportunities for skills enhancement and professional growth for team members.

3. Compliance and Safety:

o Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for facility maintenance operations.

o Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe work environment and prevent accidents or injuries.

o Conduct periodic inspections and audits to assess the condition of equipment and facilities and identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.

4. Vendor Management and Budgeting:

o Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors to procure necessary materials, equipment, and services for maintenance projects.

o Monitor and control maintenance expenses to meet budgetary goals and optimize resource allocation.

o Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of service.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.

· Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a commercial or industrial facility environment.

· Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

· Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards related to facility maintenance operations.

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

· Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.
