As we continue to expand, we are seeking a senior specialist with enthusiasm for IT infrastructure and automation to join our global team.  </p><p></p><p>As a Senior DevOps Engineer in our automation team, you will participate in ensuring the benefit of some of the largest clients in the global financial sector in the operation of their SimCorp applications on our SaaS solution. </p><p>You will be part of a Scrum team that designs and develops automation solutions using the Azure Cloud platform. The team consists of a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Developers  </p><p>  </p><p>Why this role is important to us  </p><p>We expect that you like working in an agile setup and that you enjoy working in a team. At SimCorp, we build and put trust in having a creative, inclusive, and team-empowered work environment where a positive attitude, learning mindset, and effective communication skills (in English) both verbally and in writing are key.  </p><p></p><p>You are proficient in utilizing the Azure tool stacks and have expertise in Cloud infrastructure automation and orchestration. </p><p></p><p>Additionally, what is important for us is knowledge within network configuration and cloud security. </p><p>What will you be responsible for  </p><ul><li>Engage proactively in Scrum events and contribute to strategic planning for accomplishing team objectives, including defining sprint completion criteria </li><li>Collaborate with the product owner and fellow engineers to enhance and refine new features </li><li>Continuously aim for personal growth, as well as the advancement of the team and our product </li><li>Actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team </li><li>Investigate novel technologies and assess potential solutions </li></ul><p></p><p>Some of the technologies we use </p><p>Cloud Networking, Ansible &amp; Terraform, Azure PowerShell, Azure REST API, ARM/Bicep templates, Azure DevOps Suite, Log Analytics. </p><p>These technologies and products can be leveraged to successfully deploy, maintain, and optimize on the Azure cloud platform. </p><p></p><p>What we value  </p><ul><li>Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, etc.). </li><li>Proficiency in network security principles and best practices, including firewalls (PaloAlto), VPNs, encryption, and access control. </li><li>Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform/Ansible) for automating the deployment and management of Azure resources </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot complex issues within Azure environments, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security </li><li>Experience with Azure configuration tool stack (ARM templates, Bicep, Az CLI) </li><li>Hands-on experience in working with modern CI/CD solutions </li><li>Knowledge of SecDevOps principles </li><li>Experience deploying and configuring Windows OS and applications </li><li>Have a broad knowledge of IT Infrastructure automation in general </li><li>Experience from a similar job in an international environment </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess network needs, and define network architecture standards. Document network designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines. </li><li>Language skills: English level C1 both written &amp; verbal.
