Azure System Administrator

Tyto Athene is hiring an Azure System Administrator to manage and maintain Azure infrastructure, including VMs, storage, networking, and identity services, while ensuring system performance, security, and high availability. The Azure System Administrator will collaborate across teams to support application lifecycles, enforce compliance, and troubleshoot issues within the Azure environment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage virtual machines (VMs), virtual desktops, storage accounts, and network resources in Azure.
• Maintain Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including identity and access management.
• Monitor system performance using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Apply patches, perform system updates, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Enforce security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), network security groups (NSGs), and Azure Defender.
• Support and troubleshoot issues with Azure resources, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps teams, and security personnel to support application lifecycles and compliance requirements.

Required:

• US Citizenship
• Strong knowledge of core Azure services (VMs, VNet, Storage, Load Balancer, App Services).
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI).
• Familiarity with identity and access management, especially Azure AD.
• Understanding of networking concepts in Azure (VNets, NSGs, VPN Gateway).
• Ability to implement monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and business continuity in Azure.

Compensation:

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $100K-$160K. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
