Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.

Job Description

The Division of Facilities and Real Estate Services (FRES) manages a wide range of University assets, including
physical buildings, equipment, infrastructure, and landscapes. The design, construction, and operations work
behind these assets has generated and continues to generate significant amounts of digital and analog
records such as building plans, specifications, submittals, maintenance information, warranties, and reports. Proper
organization, management, and preservation of these records is crucial for operational efficiency, internal record
keeping compliance, risk management, and cost savings.


A dedicated professional who oversees these documents will limit their disorganization, obsolescence, or loss, and
is vital to the University in light of advancements in technology and complexity of facilities.

This role will be responsible for managing and preserving our digital and hardcopy records, including building
plans, maintenance information, and construction documents. This involves scanning, organizing, and
preserving important documents to ensure they are easily accessible to our team members, companies, and
individuals working with FRES. Additionally, the archivist will track document usage, handle basic data entry, and
generate reports to improve document retrieval efficiency and comply with internal standards.
