About the role

Job Summary

The Global Service Delivery Lead for Global Business Services (GBS - Finance) is responsible for leading regional service delivery leads and ensuring the efficient delivery of financial services across a global organization. This position plays a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, standardizing processes, ensuring compliance, and fostering collaboration across global, regional, and local teams. The lead will oversee key financial operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and other finance services delivered through a shared services model.

The role requires building a high-performing, resilient, and customer-focused team while ensuring alignment with the overarching business strategy, service delivery expectations, and governance policies.

Responsibilities

Service Delivery Leadership:

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of Finance GBS services to ensure quality, accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage global service delivery teams, including monitoring performance metrics and driving continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement operational frameworks to deliver scalable and efficient finance processes.
  • Drive automation, digital transformation, and innovation to enhance operational service delivery.

Stakeholder and Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various business units and geographies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and point of escalation for internal stakeholders, including GPC Finance and senior leadership teams from the various business units.
  • Foster productive relationships with regional and business unit leaders to understand their needs and deliver tailored services.
  • Ensure effective governance and communication frameworks between the GBS team and stakeholders.

People Leadership:

  • Build, develop, and lead a global team of finance professionals and service delivery managers.
  • Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on team development, collaboration, and motivation.
  • Manage global workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development strategies.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Maintain a strong global internal control environment, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and other relevant regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and global regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls within all finance-related processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to address findings and implement corrective actions.

Transformation & Change Management:

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the team by identifying and implementing process enhancements, automation opportunities, and technology solutions.
  • Manage complex transitions, including the migration of local finance processes into the GBS model.
  • Champion change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in finance operations or shared services leadership roles.
  • Strong experience managing large-scale, multi-functional teams across different geographies.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end service delivery in a GBS or similar shared service model.
  • Experience in leading process transformations, ERP implementations, or automation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including AP, AR, GL and cash management.
  • Expertise in process standardization, automation tools (e.g., RPA), and finance technology platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to work across cultural and organizational boundaries.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Willingness to travel globally, as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, CMA or similar professional certifications
