By developing innovative solutions such as smart connectors for mooring and power, real-time AI-based wave prediction, and digital twin-based health monitoring, the project aims to overcome technical and economic challenges in wave energy. These technologies, supported by a techno-economic optimization framework, are designed to improve the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of ocean energy systems and support the transition to a cleaner energy future. We are interested in individuals with a background in machine learning, time series analysis, reinforcement learning and Digitial twins. Digital twin applications require a strong engineering background with an aptitude to model physical systems.
