Job Description
Great Basin College is hiring for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track nursing faculty position.

Qualifications:
Education:
Master’s in Nursing (MSN) OR a BSN with enrollment in an MSN program within one year of hire.
Degrees must be from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited program.
Experience & Licensure:
Minimum 3 years of RN experience (preferably in medical/surgical, acute care, or community health).
Eligible for Nevada RN licensure (licensure required upon hire).
Prior teaching experience is a plus, but not required.
Skills & Attributes:
Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to oversee students in clinical settings.
Experience with distance learning and online instruction is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach courses in the AAS Nursing, RN-BSN, and Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG (MAPE) programs (lecture, online, and clinical).
Provide hands-on instruction in simulation labs and clinical environments.
Evaluate student performance and ensure achievement of learning outcomes.
Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities, and student advisement.
Contribute to the nursing department and college committees.
Support the CNA program as needed.
Travel
The position may require driving to other GBC campuses, with or without reasonable accommodation as per the Americans with Disabilities Act, with possible overnight stays to coordinate students and programs throughout the service area. There must be a commitment to the GBC mission to serve rural Nevada. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in several state-wide or national meetings each year that require overnight travel.
Compensation Grade
Academic Faculty – 3
B Contract - 9 month (end of August to mid May) working contract paid over 12 months.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $50,000 - $95,000
Salary is based on relatable education and experience, internal equity and budgets.
