Job Description
This application is for a 12-week internship role from June - August 2023. Resume review begins in January 2023.
The Research and Development/Worldwide Medical HR team supports the research and development and worldwide medical business functions by driving programs that support their long-term people goals that tie to Biogen’s mission and strategy. The team is focused on the overall Biogen employee experience and providing a consultative approach with both employees and leaders of the functions. The team excels at this through analyzing data and identifying continuous improvement opportunities. The team is also accountable for partnering with HR and business leaders on talent processes, such as performance management cycles, deployment of engagement surveys, employee rewards, and more. The team regularly partners with HR centers of excellence (COEs) such as total rewards, people relations, global mobility, talent acquisition, DE&I, and talent, organization and performance teams. The Research and Development/Worldwide Medical HR team brings an inclusive lens to their work and strive to make DE&I a forefront of their work.
Position Description
Below is a detailed description of your role, including but not limited to:
- Partner with the Research and Development/Worldwide Medical HR Manager on strategy of organization and talent review process
- Partner with HR Business Partners and head of Research and Development/Worldwide Medical HR on special projects and initiatives
- Attend Research and Development/Worldwide Medical HR team meetings and own follow-up on action items
- Develop and manage the Global HR program calendar to ensure timely communication of programs and coordinated roll-out with the business
- Master navigation of Workday (HRIS) and people analytics dashboard to educate the team on current state of headcount, DE&I and turnover. Pull reports to support preparation of town halls for Research and Development/Worldwide Medical
- Track retention and engagement activities for Research and Development/Worldwide Medical and monitor success
Qualifications
To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
Education
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program, preferably in an HR program
Location
Remote or Cambridge, MA
