THE ROLE
Indie campers is expanding its capabilities in financial visibility and control, by creating a dedicated team to bridge accounting and business information through accurate financial planning, analysis, reporting and process controlling to accelerate management decisions.
As Controlling Analyst, you will be working closely with our Business Controller Manager, in our Lisbon headquarters. The team operates in a fast-paced, dynamic and digital environment, where you and your team will work and interact with the financial teams and operations teams in order to ensure budget execution.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Participate in the creation of the annual budget, establishing processes and decision criteria for optimal expenditure levels on business operations to achievement of targets, with special focus on fleet services and operational costs.
- Monthly verification of accounting entries to ensure financial statements accurately reflect business activity, acting as a bridge between business teams and accounting.
- Provide Management with accurate financial information and recommendations of initiatives for process and cost improvements.
- Monitoring business activity and project execution through KPIs.
- Structuring business processes and expense policies, monitor execution according to the established rules of investment together with relevant stakeholders.
- Perform cost and business analysis vs budget and projections.
- Control the budget execution through approval of PO and invoices.
- Actively engage stakeholders and participate in business execution to ensure result delivery.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor or Master in Management, Economics or Finance
- Business-oriented mindset
- Ambition and relentless drive, being proactive in the pursuit of sources of value
- Fast learner and Tech-savvy, eager to implement new procedures with new tools to improve efficiency through automation of tasks
- Results-driven with attention to detail, being autonomous and responsible for deliverables
- Ability to work under pressure and short deadlines
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Outstanding at solving complex problems that require logical reasoning and good intuition;
- Able to work in a highly dynamic and international environment;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Spreadsheets and interest in Data / Business Intelligence (mandatory)
- Experience with data visualisation tools is a plus (Eg: Google Data Studio, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Basic knowledge with programming languages such as SQL, Python or Javascript is a plus
- International experience is valued.
