The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Business Systems Analyst, Academic Affairs, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0149606]

ROLE of the POSITION

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for evaluating, implementing, and supporting technology solutions that enhance academic programs, business processes, and operations within the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. Reporting to the Director of Operations for Academic Affairs and Education, the Business Systems Analyst acts as a key liaison between technology providers and academic and administrative staff, ensuring that deployed systems align with organizational goals and contribute to the school’s mission of education, research, and service.


This position plays a crucial role in gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing data-driven solutions, and facilitating the integration of academic and administrative systems. It also leads the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting dashboards to support data-informed decision-making across various departments.


The incumbent must collaborate with stakeholders to streamline processes, implement best practices, and ensure that the technological resources are leveraged to improve student outcomes and organizational effectiveness. The Business Systems Analyst will also provide business analysis support for strategic projects, oversee process improvement efforts, and lead continuous technology innovation initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 3-5 years of related experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
