Overview

NATIONWIDE SEARCH: IOWA CITY, IA (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED) – A warm and welcoming family is seeking a proactive and reliable full-time NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to support their busy household. This role offers about 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 6:45 AM to 4:00 PM, and centers around caring for three children—a 6-year-old girl, a 4-year-old girl, and a 2-year-old boy. The two older children attend school during the day, and the youngest is at home. Mom is primarily home and involved but is looking for a thoughtful, take-charge nanny who can anticipate needs and offer consistent support.

The ideal candidate is organized, caring, and open to light household duties such as wiping down counters after meals, picking up toys and general clutter, handling the children’s laundry, and unloading grocery deliveries. The family leads an active lifestyle, with several after-school activities, including gymnastics, and they value a nanny who brings a positive attitude and calm energy to the home.

Travel is a key part of the position, and the family is looking for someone open to joining them on domestic and international trips, including about five extended weekends per year, spring break, and visits to Chicago in the summer. Private accommodations will always be provided during overnight stays, and the nanny will be supported by extended family when needed.

This position pays $25+/hour gross, with a benefits package including 10 paid vacation days, 5 paid sick days, and paid holidays. There are no pets in the home, and vaccination status is not a requirement. The family is hoping to find someone who is local to the Iowa City area to start, with potential relocation support available for the right fit. Start date is late June or early July, could be earlier for the right candidate.

 

Qualifications

 

• BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
• UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
• THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
• A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
• 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
• EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
