Azul’s opportunity for growth is tremendous. In 2020 Bain published a survey showing the market for supported Java runtimes (addressed by Azul) is at least $2.5 billion and that 80% of senior Java decision-makers were looking for a better Java business partner—one that offers better support, value, and security. Azul addresses this market with a comprehensive line of OpenJDK based runtimes including the free open source Azul Builds of OpenJDK, our certified and supported Azul Platform Core, and Azul Platform Prime with turbocharged performance and scalability. This has created a growing installed base of Azul Java runtimes upon which we are now building new offerings like Azul Intelligence Cloud.

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced software sales executives to join our dynamic and growing sales team!

We are actively interviewing candidates in NYC or Boston for our Account Executive role covering the New York region. Azul offers lucrative, uncapped commission potential!  Our top sales professionals are making $1M in the past several years.

Key Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships and engage with new and existing clients to sell our Enterprise Products:  Azul Platform Core and Azul Platform Prime
• Prospect and work closely with Lead Development Reps to foster new opportunities
• Build a 3X quota pipeline
• Consistently close business on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Win competitive deals working closely with our local Sales Engineer

This is an individual-contributor, quota-carrying role.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

• Undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of proven experience selling Enterprise Applications or DevOps in the Northeast region of the US
• Experience selling both entry level deals ($50K) and 7 figure deals
• Consistently overachieving, top of your class, and proven historical income
• Experience with Opensource and the Java community a plus
• Experience with middleware, big data (Cassandra, Hadoop) and search (SOLR, Elastic) a plus
