This includes multiple years of hands-on programming experience in languages such as Python, Go, or Java, coupled with expertise in major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.</li><li>A strong background in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and familiarity with containerisation and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes are essential.</li><li>Your proven ability to monitor, debug, and optimise distributed systems will be key to your success.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Success in the Role: Performance Outcomes </b></p><ul><li>You will be expected to achieve several key performance outcomes. This includes successfully designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure components that enhance system reliability.</li><li>You will also significantly contribute to automating operational tasks, leading to improved efficiency and reduced manual intervention. A critical outcome will be the implementation and continuous improvement of application monitoring, directly impacting performance and stability.</li><li>You will actively participate in developing and implementing disaster recovery and incident management strategies, strengthening our overall system resilience.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What type of work will I be doing?</b></p><p>As a Site Reliability Engineer, your work will involve a dynamic mix of engineering, automation, and operational responsibilities. While exact percentages may vary, you can expect your time to be broadly allocated as follows:</p><ul><li>Infrastructure Design & Maintenance: Designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure and systems.</li><li>Automation & Efficiency: Automating operational tasks and managing CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery.</li><li>Monitoring & Optimisation: Implementing application monitoring, optimising system availability, latency, and performance metrics, and performing root cause analysis.</li><li>Collaboration & Best Practices: Collaborating with developers to improve application architecture and deployment, and consulting on reliability best practices.</li><li>Documentation & On-Call: Writing and maintaining infrastructure and operational documentation and participating in on-call shifts for distributed applications.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Where is this role based?</b></p><ul><li>This role is based in Dublin.</li><li>We operate a hybrid working model, blending office-based collaboration with remote work flexibility, allowing you to balance personal and professional commitments effectively. There may be requirements for occasional travel to client sites as needed to support project delivery and client engagement.
