Housekeeper & Laundry Attendant

Primary Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform assigned day-to-day housekeeping functions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive environment.
• Move furniture.
• Operate a vacuum and a wet mop.
• Wash windows.
• Clean and dust walls and ceilings.
• Assure that established infection control practices are maintained.
• Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to maintenance.
• Assist with laundry as needed in the following duties.
• Ability to sort, fold, and deliver wash to residents.
• Wash and dry clothes using industrial laundry equipment.
• Ironing articles of clothing.
• Change temperature and water levels as necessary.
• Understand function of soaps, bleaches, softeners, and chemicals used in washing and rinsing.
• Wear gloves as necessary when handling dirty linens.
• Clean laundry area and equipment.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks on a continuous basis.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services.
