Job Summary:
We are seeking an AI Specialist to join our Information and Digital team to work directly with our projects, functions, data scientists, and data engineers, to translate business goals into actionable product requirements, ensuring AI solutions meet customer needs and provide value. This role will be pivotal in identifying use cases that align with our business objectives, defining product requirements, prioritizing features, and ensuring successful product execution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in AI and machine learning concepts, combined with a solid understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the engineering and construction sectors that Bechtel operates in.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-SNH
Major Responsibilities:
- Carries major responsibilities for the design, build, deployment, and operation of technology architecture, solutions, and software to capture, manage, store, and utilize structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources.
- Collaborates with engineers, data scientists, data analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements to technical specifications and coded data pipelines.
- Establishes and builds processes and structures based on business and technical requirements to channel data from multiple inputs, route appropriately and store using any combination of distributed (cloud) structures, local databases, and other applicable storage forms as required.
- Develops technical tools and programming that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data and to maintain, defend, and update data structures and integrity on an automated basis.
- Applies data extraction, transformation, and loading techniques to connect large data sets from a variety of sources.
- Leads the creation of data collection framework for structured and unstructured data sets.
- Leads data quality learning, training, and awareness for domain working groups with the objective to enhance understanding and implementation of data quality.
