About the Role

Reporting to the Director of People, the HR Generalist will support all HR initiatives including compliance, benefits administration, learning & development, and employee engagement. This role is perfect for a mid-level People-professional who’s eager to impact high leverage HR projects in a growing organization. 

What You’ll Do

• Support the Director of People with various ad hoc HR projects across HR operations, employee engagement, recruitment, learning & development, compensation planning and more
• Ensure employee compliance with employment laws through administration of required policies and procedures.
• Stay-up-to-date on relevant employment law updates with all federal and state requirements
• Foster Applecart’s award winning company culture by being an innovator and leader of company engagement initiatives
• Maintain the company’s PEO (Justworks) and performance management (Culture Amp) systems
• Serve as additional HR support to all employees
• Assist with the crafting, developing and executing of company policies
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, ranging from individual contributors, managers, members of the leadership team, candidates and external vendors, to ensure the smooth functioning of HR operations.
• Support the company’s recruitment initiatives as needed

Who You Are

• 4-7 years of HR experience, within a Tech industry or Start-Up environment
• Demonstrated experience partnering with c-level executives 
• Expert in employment laws, compliance and best practices
• Excellent communication and people skills - your approach as an HR professional is human-first
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Team-first attitude, highly collaborative and eager to learn
• Experience working with a PEO or HRIS system
