Job Description

Compass Government Solutions is currently hiring an ICU Registered, pending award, for a role at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX to provide on-site care for military Veterans to provide a high level of direct care to the patient.

Job Requirements of the ICU Registered Nurse (RN):

• Providing care to critically ill or seriously injured patients in intensive care units
• Monitoring patient’s vital signs and responding to emergencies
• Assisting in taking medical history and performing physical examinations
• Administering medication and performing various diagnostic procedures
• Providing information and support to patients and their families

Qualifications

Qualifications of the ICU Registered Nurse (RN):

• Graduate from an accredited University for nursing
• Full unrestricted license to practice as an RN in a US state, territory, or Commonwealth.
• 1 year of experience working in an critical care setting as an RN in the last 5 years
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
