Position Summary
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily quality operations, ensuring compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This role will lead a team of quality critical focus, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support production in achieving quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Activities
Conduct start-of-shift quality checks and review production schedules.
Perform line audits to ensure compliance with work instructions and quality standards.
Monitor in-process inspections and verify critical dimensions/specifications.
Address quality alerts and resolve issues promptly with production teams.
Ensure proper documentation of inspection results and nonconformances.
Verify calibration status of measurement tools and equipment.
Communicate quality updates during daily production meetings.
Weekly Activities
Review scrap and rework reports; identify trends and root causes.
Conduct layered process audits (LPA) or internal audits.
Update and maintain quality control plans and inspection sheets.
Provide training and refreshers for operators on quality standards.
Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) progress.
Prepare weekly quality performance reports for management.
Monthly Activities
Analyze customer complaints and returns; implement corrective actions.
Review Right the First Time (RTFT) and other KPIs for continuous improvement.
Participate in cross-functional meetings for process improvement projects.
