The Options and Real Estate Specialist will review current and prospective client financial plans as they relate to real estate and equity compensation strategies and consult directly with Empower Personal Wealth Advisors and clients around wealth planning strategies.
The primary goal of this role is to provide Empower Personal Wealth clients with robust planning advice, specifically related to specialty areas including Equity Compensation and Real Estate investing. Developing processes, reporting, and client interaction campaigns will be necessary, while providing clients and advisors with robust consultations related to Real Estate and Equity Compensation. This position will require knowledge base on a variety of planning topics, in addition to an interest & ability to coordinate with other subject matter experts, as the position will manage the ‘Other’ financial planning queue.
What You Will Do:
- Manage the Financial Planning Queues for Options, Real Estate, and Other.
- Consult with Clients and Advisors regarding issues related to Commercial Real Estate Investing. Rental Properties, Lending Options & Recommendations, Equity Compensation Strategies, Concentrated Equity Divestiture, Private Equity, NUA Reviews.
- Researching less common planning topics.
- Coordinating with and training a diverse advisory workforce on relevant topics.
- Coordinating with the Investment Team on certain portfolio implementations.
- Acting as Empower’s 10b5-1 plan & 1031 exchange ‘expert’.
- SME on Bank of New York’s mortgage offering.
- Creating and driving campaigns to deliver related advice to a wider client base. Conducting webinars/presentations to clients and employees.
- Potential participation in marketing focused initiatives from blog posts to reporter interviews.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience with Real Estate transactions and investing, with detailed knowledge of: 1031 Exchanges. Rental Property Personal Usage Rules, Depreciation Rules & Practices, Opportunity Zones, RSUs & RSAs. ESPPs. ISOs & NQSOs. Phantom Stock Compensation. ESOPs.
- Depth of understanding of available forms of equity compensation, including tax ramifications.
- CFP or CFA Designation(s)
- Prior successful customer service experience.
- Experience with project management or process development.
- Proven aptitude for managing high volume with no deterioration in quality.
