About the role

Gartner research and insights help business leaders make more effective decisions every day. Our Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) team’s mission is to improve seller productivity through process design, territory planning, technology, learning and enablement, analytics and more. The team strives to simplify and improve the seller experience, remove obstacles and provide data to make the right decisions.

Our Global Marketing team helps drive Gartner’s revenue growth by developing prospect awareness and interest through a range of compelling and innovative digital marketing initiatives to provide Sales with quality leads to fuel their pipeline and ultimately their results.

This leadership position is a unique opportunity in the Global Sales Strategy and Operations organization that will be responsible for strategy, planning and execution of the key technology initiatives that maximize marketing effectiveness, enable sales productivity, and drive Gartner’s revenue growth. This role will require significant B2B marketing expertise, strong technical acumen, process design and orchestration across a number of technologies, business units and functional partners across Gartner globally.


 

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for product vision and management of new and existing marketing systems that support our lines of businesses (Global Technology Sales, Global Business Sales and Conferences)

  • Facilitate robust design and systems integration that reduces process friction, improves seller experience and drives business outcomes

  • Assess the effectiveness of current marketing technology stack, business processes and data against best-in-class marketing capabilities

  • Partner with technology teams, stakeholders, and end users to evaluate and recommend new technologies and/or tools to achieve the desired target state

  • Develop and execute an appropriate technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with Gartner’s marketing and sales objectives ensuring interoperability of marketing and sales technologies, seamless data flows and improved user experience

  • Partner with enterprise data management, technology and Sales, marketing operations teams to oversee the collection, storage, and fidelity of marketing data used in revenue-generating actionable insights

  • Collaborate with the marketing leadership team on key priorities, issue resolution etc. that will maximize the impact on sales outcomes

  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure efficient, cost effective utilization of marketing technology solutions

  • Lead, coach, manage a team of marketing technology associates


What you’ll bring:

  • Fluent in Martech with demonstrable experience in deploying best-in-class Martech capabilities in a B2B setting. 

  • Strong product management background and expert understanding of contemporary technologies in the martech space

  • Expert in how marketers leverage data to power highly personalized digital experiences, and has the expertise in the platform capabilities to enable it

  • A solid understanding of the vendor landscape in the martech space and experience in influencing vendor roadmaps to suit the needs of the company

  • Proven leadership and excellent executive communication, presentation skills

  • High performing, creative problem solver with a passion for innovation and a track record for delivering high quality and timely results

  • 10+ years of product management experience with technically complex, platform products operating at significant scale

  • 7+ years hands on experience in Salesforce, Eloqua, Salesloft or equivalent technologies

  • 5+ years of people management experience with a track record of mentoring and developing high performing individuals

  • Intellectual curiosity to gather and synthesize business needs

  • Proven ability to develop and champion a product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a product area in support of customer needs and company objectives

  • Technically adept and forward thinking in areas of orchestration, channel activation, marketing analytics

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to persuade, communicate the vision and motivate people at every level
