Job Description
The Visa Rules, Compliance and Standards team (RCS) establishes operating principles and enforces common interoperable rules and standards for our products and services by which clients must operate their Visa programs within ecosystem.
This is a Management Career role that will be instrumental in leading transformation of Rules, Rules Compliance, and Standards program by establishing consistent Operating model and Framework for RCS across our ecosystem.
As the Senior Director, Strategy & Intelligence, this role will partner with the Head of Visa Rules, Rules Compliance and Standards and the leadership team to achieve the future of RCS. They will lead and manage a high-performing team that will design and deliver strategic initiatives, thought leadership and planning for the RCS organization. This role will also be a leader of an Intelligence and insights team that will provide strategic foresight and actionable insights based on emerging trends and new opportunities across RCS. They will also monitor and analyze program performance, and help us innovate, grow, and reduce risk to the ecosystem. The role will be tasked with challenging the status quo, Driving the organization to think and work differently, and inspiring excellence in themselves, their team, and their business partners.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience.
- Relevant experience in strategy, intelligence, insights, analytics, or related field with bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in leading and managing teams.
- Possess a relentless, client-centric, and result-driven mindset coupled with strong problem-solving skills and an ability to break down complex problems and propose alternative, new ways of thinking.
- Be a transformative leader with executive presence and experience – inspire others beyond transactional engagement toward partnership excellence, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization.
- Expertise in delivering data insights, strategic planning and analytic strategy is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in risk, banking or financial services is required.
- Experience in the payments industry, risk management, or compliance is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
- Ability to think creatively, strategically, innovatively, and execute on deliverables.
- Ability to influence and work with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
