Come join us in building the future—together. 🦄  The Head of Technical Recruiting will lead end-to-end hiring for engineering, product, other related roles (including direct ownership of VP+ searches) while driving AI-powered innovations in recruitment. You will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in expanding ClickUp's most critical hiring pipelines. By collaborating closely with senior leadership, you will align hiring strategies with essential business and efficiency goals, oversee executive hiring, and champion an exceptional candidate experience. You’ll also manage a high-performing team, oversee headcount planning, and leverage data to inform key stakeholders and influence decisions, with a focus on leadership and AI hiring in a fast-moving pre-IPO environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Strategy: Drive team strategy and accountability, motivate and enable team members, and set the standard for sourcing and hiring top talent. Partner with finance and senior leadership to meet headcount goals within budget and timelines.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage req allocation, capacity planning, and team performance. Ensure ATS compliance and use data to forecast and report progress to executive team members and other key stakeholders.
  • AI & Innovation: Identify opportunities to enhance recruiting processes and create efficiencies with AI, staying ahead of industry trends and sharing insights with the team.
  • Team Development: Act as a "player-coach" to train, mentor, and empower team members to implement best practices and deliver on KPIs. Advocate for resources and manage expectations with stakeholders when needed.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong relationships with functional leaders (including executive team stakeholders), finance, and People Business Partners to align on hiring needs and workforce planning, with a view toward IPO readiness.

 

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years proven experience leading talent acquisition teams and managing VP+ and similar leadership-level searches, with a strong focus on hiring executives and specialized technical roles in late-stage private SaaS companies.
  • Expertise in sourcing and hiring unique talent, particularly in the field of AI and other specialized functional areas.
  • Strong understanding of pre-IPO equity, compensation structures, and benefits, with the ability to manage complex offer negotiations.
  • Deep knowledge of recruitment tools, systems, and best practices, coupled with a strong understanding of how to leverage AI and data-driven strategies to optimize recruitment processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to quickly shift priorities to align with changing business needs.
