Dashboard 2.0 (“DB2.0”) is a digital platform relied upon by agents, field managers, and senior executives to review daily status of their success metrics relative to goals, forecasts, and incentives. Our users start their day by reviewing the dashboard for reliable, accurate information, which will be used to optimize their efforts spent on recruiting, training, and sales. Seamless integration of design, technology, and insights is required to create the optimal user experience. The DB2.0 team curates platform content and functionality to ensure that our end users can quickly and easily evaluate the health of their business, which is critical for their strategic and tactical decision making.
We are seeking an experienced, strong, detail-oriented analytics and insights leader to shape and shepherd the future of Dashboard 2.0. The candidate will work closely with business subject matter experts and our end users to make decisions impacting the use of metrics and technology to drive optimal business decisions.
Role Overview:
- Strategy: Shape and implement future roadmap for Dashboard 2.0 to drive continuous improvements to user experience leveraging both design and emerging technologies. As the Dashboard provides essential information for Agent and Partners daily, a critical eye towards continuous improvement is required for success in this role. The visual experience and technical capabilities contribute to the overall engagement of our audience.
- Solution design and ownership: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement using strategic or tactical recommendations. Engage with fellow members of the Dashboard 2.0 leadership team to address new challenges as they arise. Proactively address gaps in process and procedures to protect against future issues. As the dashboard is a vital tool for our field force, issues should be addressed promptly.
- Leadership: Manage a team of analysts and insight professionals to bring out their potential and optimize team outcomes. Work with DB2.0 Leadership team to ensure training and coaching of the team. Create and drive best practices across the team. Encourage a team culture of open communication and continuous growth and development.
- Effective communication: Understands the business goals and can guide the discussion between business and data. Provide support for Agents, Field Managers and Home Office employees by ensuring the team is responsive to requests and inquires.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree (Business/Computer Science/IT or related field is preferred) and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience:
- including 7+ years of experience financial service industry (Life insurance products and business knowledge preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with translating business requirements into system requirements
- 3+ years of experience with more than one reporting and business intelligence tool (Tableau, Spotfire, Domo, PowerBI, Qlik, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience with multi-sourced, data projects using ORACLE, DB2, HADOOP, etc.
- 3+ years of experience in project planning and handling a team
- Experience in Agile environment and with PM tools like Jira is an advantage
- Experience on Cloud (AWS) with respect to data structures recommended
- Expert in SQL and deep understanding of relational databases to be able to create insights from large data sets.
- Expert in connecting Data to Business requirements.
- Ability to blend data from various data sources to produce actionable information.
- Strong data visualizations skills for “storytelling" through data.

Salary range: $145,000 - $215,000
