Industry lead - Packaging

<p><strong>Overview of the role</strong></p><p></p><p>Euromonitor International is looking to strengthen our Packaging Industry Team by appointing a new Industry Lead, Packaging. Our existing team consists of our Global Industry Head and our in-house team of data experts leveraging all possible efficiencies in terms of cutting-edge mixed research methods, data analytics, modelling and forecasting to produce centralized data files, integrated sources, pre-estimates for research and basic data checks. We will be expanding our team with a dedicated Industry Lead and regional insight analysts with the goal to continue enhancing the quality of service we provide to our clients globally.</p><p>The Industry Lead, Packaging will drive the commercial development of our Packaging research system and takes ownership of providing the highest quality service to our clients and the building of our profile in the industry. This role is a client facing research role that also requires close collaboration with our packaging focused team members globally, i.e., our central data team, insight analyst, global lead as well as our sales force and consulting teams.</p><p>This position is a perfect fit for an individual interested in creating Packaging thought leadership, along with the opportunity to drive our research-focused client work. The successful candidate will begin by building off our existing thought leadership narrative in the space and then build ownership of their own content portfolio, based on identified focus/expertise and client interactions. He/she will manage a set number of accounts aligned with identified focus/expertise. A strong portfolio of thought leadership is critical to successful commercial interactions, where the successful candidate is expected to take ownership of their content and research-driven account activity.</p><p>The position reports to a Senior Research Manager on our Catalyst team.</p><p><strong>Key accountabilities </strong></p><p></p><ul> <li>Leverage all research to improve client service and drive client engagement</li> <li>Lead the dialogue with the industry to enhance client service and drive data validation</li> <li>Develop a deep understanding of our clients’ business questions</li> <li>Support our salesforce and consulting business development teams to secure renewal and support ad-hoc customisation of our packaging offering</li> <li>Create content strategy for our Packaging system</li> <li>Provide editorial direction for regional insight analysts</li> <li>Lead our efforts to build our brand globally</li> <li>Understand best in class packaging solutions in the industry and inform methodology and product improvements</li> <li>Identify the latest industry trends</li> <li>Lead knowledge share and drive collaboration across all teams globally</li> <li>Take responsibility for data integrity by leading top-down data validation and checks.</li> </ul><p></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Skills / Proficiencies required</p><ul> <li>4+ years packaging experience</li> <li>High level of numeracy and analytical capabilities</li> <li>Solid experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods</li> <li>Ability to identify and build evidence-based thought leadership that meets the strategic needs of clients</li> <li>Experience in writing content including reports, whitepapers, briefings, etc.</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Solid commercial acumen, presentation and client management skills</li> <li>Excellent stakeholder management</li> <li>A team player with demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and trust amongst various teams</li> <li>Tenacity and keen attention to detail</li> <li>Strong time management skills and excellent organisational ability</li> <li>Flexibility and proven track record of managing workloads and balancing research, analysis and client interactions..</li> </ul>
