SUMMARY

Works with Inside Technical Sales and Customer Service to provide customers and end users with product and technical support with cryogenics equipment including pipe, valves, fitting, and pressure and flow assemblies by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

SALES/TECHNICAL SUPPORT:

 

  • Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales
  • Interacts with customers and colleagues to determine the scope and design of products or services that best suit a customer needs.
  • Reviews blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to assist in the development and preparation of cost estimates
  • Prepares quotations to meet customer requirements, including development of prices and schedule
  • Receives customer purchase orders or writes/types the information on an order form
  • Assists in the preparation of product or piping system layout and reviews drawings and schematics prepared by engineering
  • Provides technical information to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment
  • Assists sales and customer service to resolve customer problems that appear to arise from the use of the product
  • Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records
  •    Assists in the development and entry of Bills of Materials and Routings for Manufacturing orders
  • Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer
  •    Routes orders to other departments for filling and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specific dates
  •    Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships
  • Compiles statistics and prepares various reports for management
  • Assists Customer Service to investigate and resolve customer problems
  • Attempts to sell additional merchandise to customer
  • Uses CRM to record, manage and track inquiries and orders

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE                                                                                                             

Two year technical degree or four to six years of technical experience.  Knowledge of pipe, valves and fittings, and an understanding of pressure and flow.
