Entry-level supervisor role, supervising Direct Support Professional staff. Provides support for individuals and/or groups of persons with disabilities in the community.  Assists the person(s) receiving services in identifying and communicating his or her requests and needs for services and supports.

Pay rate: $22.00

• Base pay set by facility. Based on education and experience.

Schedule: Shifts and schedules may vary by location and typically a variety of shifts are available. Shifts cover all days of the week, Monday through Sunday.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with Health and Safety Procedures-
• Assist with People Supported Development
• Assists with Person Supported Community Life
• Supervises and supports team members
• Assists with person centered plan and outcomes
• Assists with medical requests
• Assist with data collection and reporting
• Assist with day to day operations of assigned home(s)
• Perform all other related tasks as assigned

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid drivers’ license 
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) (Required)
• Knowledge of Deaf Culture (Required)

Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included:

• Regular required to lift 20 lbs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 lbs.    
• Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.  
• Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.  
• Required to regularly stand and walk.  
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.  
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

PAHrtners Deaf Services is a division of RHA Health Services. Founded in 1989, RHA began as a small provider of support services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in North Carolina. Over the years, RHA has expanded to include a broad range of disability services and continue to add other types of services across multiple states to meet communities' needs. RHA has also added high-quality behavioral health services to support people with a wide variety of mental health and substance use needs as well as support services for those who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH).
