About the role

Responsible for ensuring the milk received is within specification and meets all food safety and quality requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

General qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  1. Shall have attended Chemical Safety, GMP, FSMA, Food Defense Awareness and Allergen Training sessions within the last 12 months.
  2. Shall have received training in appropriate PC and CQPs.
  3. Shall meet all requirements of the SQF Program, including all prerequisite programs.
  4. Shall comply with all GMP requirements.
  5. Shall comply with all regulatory requirements.
  6. Shall comply with all requirements for Personal Protective Equipment as defined by appropriate plant procedures.
  7. Shall comply with all Safety Rules and Policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. If state certified, approves raw milk for receipt only after all required tests are conducted and are within the specifications of Appendix N, other regulatory and Company policies on raw milk receiving and testing.
  2. If not state certified, takes samples to the laboratory for testing. Unloads raw milk only after all required testing are conducted and are within the specifications of Appendix N, other regulatory and Company policies on raw milk receiving and testing.
  3. Shall perform appropriate raw milk CQP monitoring, verification of critical limits and take appropriate corrective actions.
  4. Shall follow Company protocol for rejection of raw milk loads.
  5. All charts, receiving records and product traceability records properly recorded.
  6. Proper cleaning procedures followed per SSOP. Ensures time, temperature, concentration, and flow are within specification requirements and are documented, and corrective actions taken. Disconnects all CIP connections after cycle is complete.
  7. Cleans equipment and environment as per master sanitation schedule (MSS).
  8. Performs all tasks as per the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
  9. Responsible for reporting food safety or quality issues to management and assists in implementing corrective action measures.
