Job Responsibilities:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Automotive experience (Shipping/Receiving)
  • Ability to coordinate multiple drop trailer loads.
  • Must be very organized with attention to detail.
  • File and maintain shipping related documentation.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Shipping Processes
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Receiving Processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills , excellent at managing data at a detail level.
  • Strong ability to muti-task and work independently.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Prior experience operating a forklift or tugger.
  • Prior experience loading and unloading trailers.
  • Ability to understand, anticipate and follow direction while exercising maturity of judgement.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently to perform duties with little supervision.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and with a variable workload.
  • Ability to work flexible hours in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Ability to understand basic computer software an asset.
  • Possesses good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with other team members.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

DUTIES:

  • Proficient in TOMS (GM Service)
  • Proficient in Covisint (GM Containers), CLIPS
  • Proficient in FedEx / UPS shipments
  • Verify all incoming material shipments for accuracy and receive into system.
  • Receive all incoming material through ASN process. Use Manual process if no ASN. Notify Supplier contact if no ASN was received.
  • Maintain accurate records and files for all incoming Material.
  • Coordinate incoming shipments with suppliers.
  • Prepare and process Supplier returns
  • Generate ASN’s in the system for every shipment departing from the plant with Finished goods and verify the ASN was sent through use of the ASN Checker.
  • Set up expedites as needed
  • Expendable packing claims
  • Ensure stock is properly rotated in order to maintain FIFO
  • Ensures all outgoing shipments are properly scanned to Bill of Lading (BOL).
  • Actively participates in 5S activities.
  • Trains workers (fulltime or temporary) if asked to train.  Readily and willingly trains following the training process and the principles of CBAM.
  • Demonstrates cooperation and flexibility related to work assignments and overtime. Works where directed to work and is open to training for multiple work assignments
  • Monitors outbound & inbound products and shipments for defects and reports all issues immediately. Verifies product being sent to customer and verifies & documents containers coming in from suppliers and customers.
  • Keeps exit doors closed to unauthorized visitors to protect Company assets and employees.
  • Takes part in the continuous improvement process to improve productivity and quality (provides suggestions at team meetings, understands losses and gives ideas/solutions, participates in trials/experiments, volunteers on committee or focus group activities, etc.) and focuses on solutions.
  • Attends departmental and plant-wide communication meetings as scheduled.
  • Attends training as scheduled.
  • Complies with, supports and models CBAM’s operational procedures/policies, Employee Handbook, and Magna’s Employee’s Charter, Corporate Constitution, and Operational Principles.
  • Complies with relevant Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental programs (e.g. ISO 9001/IATF 16949, ISO 45001 ISO 14001).
  • Complies with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA. Follows and ensures Company procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed.
