Job Overview
We have a wonderful opportunity for a Medical Lab Technician at our amazing Orthopedic-Pediatric hospital here in Greenville, SC. This is a part-time position Monday-Friday, No on-call, no nights, no weekends and no holidays. We are a small but mighty waived-testing lab that offers support to an out-patient clinic, in-patient unit and a surgical services department. You will be involved in a variety of duties and responsibilities that support our hospital and its important mission for our patients and families. If you are detail oriented, have great customer services and communication skills and are a multi-tasker, we would love to meet you to discuss the opportunities to be a part of our team.
Responsibilities
- Provides clinical laboratory services by accurately performing and evaluating diagnostic technical procedures in accordance with the established regulatory and accreditation standards for clinical lab science.
- Diagnostic procedures performed may include chemistry, microbiology, hemostasis, hematology, blood banking, urinalysis and phlebotomy.
- Functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and acts as a resource to staff and the general public regarding assigned areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
Required:
Associate's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP)
Certified Medical Technician in state of South Carolina
At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
Preferred:At least 5 years of clinical laboratory experience
