Job Summary:
This software development internship is for the CMS Core Services team which provides platform-level capabilities for consumption by the other product development teams in the CMS sector. We strive for excellence, have multiple initiatives going on at any given time, and have a great time working together. You will work hands-on with fellow developers and alongside QA team members to help drive the success of our initiatives, and will gain experience with coding, documenting, and testing in a professional setting with a team operating in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as a mostly back-end developer on Go and .NET Core services hosted in Azure and Kubernetes. Follow established team coding standards and guidelines to produce consistent, appropriately-documented code.
Engage collaboratively with the team constantly on all aspects of team life, including product and service design, estimation, code reviews, pair programming, defect resolution, releases, updating the status board, process refinement, and supporting customers.
Apply security best practices.
Assist with developing and maintaining cutting edge quality automation, including unit tests, integration tests, security scans, performance tests, smoke tests, and running tests safely in a production environment.
Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and good judgment in all interactions with co-workers, customers, and others.
Recommended Skills & Experience
Candidates currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field
Experience in any of the following languages: Go, C#, or other .NET
Ability to think critically and work independently or collaborate with a team
A wide degree of creativity, openness, and latitude when approaching problems

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
