How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

This role provides leadership in developing, implementing, improving and managing Product Stewardship, within Health, Safety, Environment & Security (HSES), policies, procedures, practices, and projects. It nourishes a culture in which safety is the highest priority across Air Liquide Advanced Materials facilities in the US and Asia. This role is expected to interact effectively with a wide variety of teams including operations, research, process development and engineering to implement change effectively and sustain the gains.

 Job Responsibilities:

●      Understanding the needs of the product stewardship requirements and translating that to products and services that add value to customers

●     Partner with R&D, Quality, Sales & Marketing and Operations to drive the right mix of products and services for global market

●     Responsible for leading and developing a team of talented specialists and data administrators to develop and execute on company vision and strategy

●     Analyze and advise management on global regulatory trends 

●     Create and execute a Product Stewardship strategy to meet current and future customer needs

●     Support sales and marketing to analyze cost to market to increase price to value and revenue opportunities

●     Develop and manage team to deliver solutions that meet current and future customer needs

●     Identify and collaborate with business unit and group to promote global compliance in product stewardship

●      Support within the HSES team to drive HSES success

●      Drives a culture of "Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time" with their actions and their words on a daily basis.

Required Qualifications:

●      Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or similar chemistry relevant degree.

●      10+ years experience in a relevant field or experience.

●     Extensive knowledge in product stewardship and regulatory affairs

●     Experience leading a team

●      Ability to effectively communicate with wide variety of stakeholders

●      Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency

●      Expert knowledge in Global Chemical Registrations, Safety Data Sheet Authoring and Chemical Regulation

●      Familiarity with reading chemical testing reports or analytical chemistry reports and process flow diagrams

 

Preferred Qualifications:

●      Training or certifications in regulatory affairs

●      Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification or equivalent knowledge

●      Able to learn technical chemical processes quickly in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

●      Methodical data based problem solving and decision making skills

●      Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multitask

●      Self-starter with the ability to perform well under pressure and changing priorities

●      Ability to communicate concisely and effectively in written and verbal formats with stakeholders at multiple levels in the business.
