Deli Cook

We are currently looking to add a Deli Cook to our amazing team.

If you have a passion for good food and enjoy engaging with people, this is the perfect opportunity for you. As a Deli Cook, you’ll prepare dishes from our diverse Mediterranean-inspired menu, maintain a clean and well-stocked deli, and play a key role in delivering warm, welcoming customer service. While culinary experience is a plus, curiosity and enthusiasm are just as important—you’ll be part of a team that values quality, hospitality, and a love for global flavors.

World Foods is a family-owned specialty market in Portland bringing to life the passion for the best foods from near and far. We offer a full-service Mediterranean deli, meat & seafood department, curated beer & wine department, local & unique produce and complete groceries focusing on local and international foods. We strive to offer a beautiful balance of inspiring products and deliciously traditional house-made foods in a warm and friendly environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Prepare high-quality food for the deli case, grab-and-go, and made-to-order departments following standard recipes and procedures.
• Store, handle, and rotate ingredients and prepared food in accordance with food safety and quality guidelines.<
