About the role

Under direct supervision, the Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related responsibilities and works closely with other members of the HR team, supporting the overall mission of the organization. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities to provide support in the following functional areas: Employee/ Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Organizational Development and Diversity. Responsibilities also include new employee orientation, off-boarding, compliance, policy interpretation and special projects. The HR Generalist serves as the first point of contact for management and staff regarding standard human resource related inquiries. This role provides a wide range of administrative support to the Human Resource function including but not limited to: coordinating meetings, writing, editing documents and policies, tracking and reporting. The HR Generalist follows standard practices and uses existing procedures to solve problems. The role requires independent judgement to analyze information and standard practices to make decisions. The HR Generalist will provide basic human resources support to a designated client group that is comprised of multiple departments.Education: Associates degree in Human Resources, Healthcare, Business Management or a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Healthcare, Business Management or related field is highly preferred. Licensure: Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) or must be obtained be within first year of employment. Experience: A minimum of three years of Human Resources experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Skills: • Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources • General understanding of how the team integrates with others in accomplishing business objectives. • Knowledge of customer service techniques to effect positive, meaningful service outcomes • Ability to operate most standard office equipment and effectively use a computer, hardware and software. Highly proficient with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various levels within the organization, internal customers, external customers and agencies. Able to elicit and understand customer needs. • Seeks input from others in developing solutions to problems • Skill in dealing effectively with a variety of diverse people and difficult situations • Ability to maintain a pleasant, customer-centered demeanor and professional image under a variety of challenging situations • Exceptional verbal and written communication including excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and assist with analyzing information • Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work including but not limited to: composing/drafting, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines • Must be able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment; demonstrated by the ability to meet deadlines, organize, multi-task, schedule, coordinate and assist with planning • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve problems/issues in a timely manner • Must have the skills necessary to handle sensitive and confidential information, documentation and situations. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Pay Range

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
