Based in Albany the Technical Advisor – Electrical position offers a rare opportunity to combine hands‑on technical leadership with the lifestyle benefits of living in one of WA’s most scenic regional communities.

What You Will Be Doing

In this influential regional role, you will act as a technical leader and trusted advisor across electrical, instrumentation and SCADA assets, including:

  • Conducting field-based audits, inspections and condition assessments
  • Identifying emerging faults and risks before failures occur
  • Recommending cost‑effective, practical solutions to improve asset performance
  • Providing a centre of expertise for electrical maintenance, repair and refurbishment
  • Supporting operation and maintenance planning through informed forecasting advice
  • Acting as the HV Authorised Person for the region and Electrical Nominee under Water Corporation’s electrical contractor licence
  • Participating in electrical commissioning from fabrication through to site acceptance testing
  • Travelling across the region to support critical infrastructure (with allowances provided)

This is a role where your judgement, experience and insight directly influence outcomes.

 

What You Will Bring

We are looking for someone who brings strong technical capability and enjoys working independently in a regional environment, supported by a broader expert network.

You Will have:

  • An Electrical Worker’s Licence (Electrician’s Licence) OR an Engineering Degree with relevant industry experience
  • Substantial experience in the operation and maintenance of water or similar critical infrastructure
  • Strong background in electrical installation, testing and commissioning
  • Experience fault‑fin
