This job is a member of the Branch Operations team within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for overseeing the management of a branch (or branches) within a specific region in support of building member-relationships for the long-term by matching member needs to American Airlines Credit Union product and service solutions.
What you'll do
- Direct the operation of a full service Credit Union branch and be fully engaged in the development of business
- Maintain communication between the branch and Regional Director in regards to operations and productivity
- Maintain knowledge of the Credit Union's products and services in order to efficiently train and motivate staff to cross-sell
- Implement operational, budgeting, marketing and loan procedures as well as delinquency and cost control
- Exercise lending authority to process new loan applications, which includes interviewing the member, analyzing credit reports and documentation and offering the best product to meet member needs, including consumer loans
- Coordinate and participate in "Credit Union Days" as needed in order to grow business
- Recruit, hire, motivate and train management and support staff
- Coach and counsel team members and provide guidance to the teams on member service, sales and performance
- Conduct annual employee evaluations and individual coaching sessions as needed
- Motivate branch staff in an effort to maintain optimal member service level
- Monitor and keep inventory of the facilities and equipment needs of the branch
- Lead branch staff to attain all branch goals, including but not limited to, lending, membership and product goals
- Conduct and review various monthly, quarterly & semi-annual branch operations-type audits/reports
- Represent and promote the Credit Union within the business community
- Perform Notary services as required
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related area, or equivalent financial services experience
- Credit Union or bank management experience
- Credit approval authorization, credit union, and finance company experience
- Consumer lending experience lending experience
- Staff supervisory experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
- Ability to demonstrate excellent member service skills
- Ability to demonstrate superior people management, interpersonal and employee engagement skills, to include directing, coaching, counseling and motivating staff
- Ability to work well under deadlines, with conflicting deadlines, and high volume stress of project work
- Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
- Ability to cooperate and synergize well with staff and all other departments in the Credit Union
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making recommendations on information gathered/reviewed
- Ability to demonstrate skills and drive necessary to thrive in a competitive Credit Union sales environment
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical, mathematical, planning and organizational skills, along with capacity for attention to detail
