Early Childhood Class Instructor (Part-Time)

Do you enjoy working with children? Do you enjoy creating engaging early childhood curriculum and executing activities in small play groups for children from three to five years old? If so, please consider applying and joining the Youth Development team at the Boroughs Family Branch YMCA!

Job Duties:

• Works alongside the youth development team leadership, and creates developmentally appropriate curriculum & activities around themes like sports, arts, and STEM.
• Leads and oversees activities in the early childhood classes, which include a group of children from three to five years old and their parents or caregivers
• Creates a friendly and welcoming classroom environment that nurtures every child's potential and speak with parents/caregivers about students when needed
• Attend all staff trainings or meetings

Requirements: 

• Must be able to provide care and interact with children and youth in a positive manner
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be able to become CPR/AED certified for children and infants within 30 days of hire

**Preference for applicants with experience in working with children from 3-5 years old

Currently looking for caring fun and compassionate individuals who are available to run a weekly class during these time frames:

• Weeknights anytime between 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Weekends at any time. Classes would be either 45 minutes or 1 hour long.

Weekly shifts start September 30th, 2024 and go through June 15th, 2025. Training shifts start in August

Pay: $15.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities (gym, pool ect.) for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
