Program Coordinator Job Summary
The Program Coordinator of Student Engagement develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive, well-balanced calendar of programs that enhance the educational experiences of students. The Program Coordinator advises the Campus Activities Board (the programming arm of the Office of Student Engagement) and supervises the CAB Eboard members.
Key Outcomes
30 % of Time: Campus Activities Board
Advises the Campus Activities Board and regularly attends meetings and events.
Provide support in the planning, implementation, and assessment of CAB Events, emphasizing experiential learning for students.
3-5 Monthly CAB events (mix of homegrown low-cost events, partnerships with offices, and leveraging existing events on campus, with various contracted acts on campus such as concerts, comedians, diversity & equity programming, and off-campus trips from the local area and beyond.
Plan and implement an annual CAB Spring Concert featuring a high-profile act chosen by students and approved by the Endicott Administration.
Attends the regional NACA conference annually with CAB Eboard Students annually
Supervises the student executive board employees of the Campus Activities Board
Regularly assesses their learning and performance through yearly evaluations and assessments.
With the Director of Student Engagement, plans and coordinates the yearly CAB calendar up to a year in advance.
With the Director of Student Engagement, oversee the Campus Activities Board budget and purchases.
20 % of Time: Programming
Plan and implement large-scale student events including Welcome Week, Haunted Happenings, Gullibration, Post Center Take Over, Endicott Speaks Leadership Series, and other events as directed by trends and needs of students.
Working with the Associate Director to ensure programming consistently occurs on high-risk weekends
Routinely assess and evaluate student programming to ensure it meets learning objectives and student interests.
15 % of Time: Off-Campus Trips and Excursions
Plan and implement free and lightly subsidized off-campus trips and excursions to experience local opportunities and opportunities for students to meet and socialize.
Align trips to campus happenings as well as academic and cultural calendars (move-in, career and internship fairs, students leaving for study abroad, MLK, Cultural History Month and identity-based events, etc)
Opportunities can include but are not limited to Shopping trips, Peabody Essex Museum, MFA, local concerts, fairs, trips to go vote, political candidate debates and speaking engagements, parades, etc.
Partner with campus stakeholders (faculty in academic colleges, Career Services, Center for Belonging, etc, as needed for excursions to create buy-in and expand opportunities for students.
25 % of Time: Leadership Development
With the Director of Student Engagement, oversee the planning, implementation, and facilitation of the Endicott Leadership Program, a cornerstone leadership program for all students at Endicott College
Working alongside FYE, Leadership LLC, Academic Scholars, and other stakeholders to increase student buy-in and outreach of the program and offerings.
Assist in the development and implementation of a leadership retreat for ELP students in line with the tenets of the program.
Create and develop monthly in-house leadership workshops and seminars for Endicott students based on needs and trends in leadership development.
With the Engagement Coordinator, develop and facilitate leadership training for student organization officers and Advisors based on the needs and trends of our student club population.
10 % of Time: Administrative
Contribute to various college-wide initiatives and committees as needed or directed.
With the Director of Student Engagement, routinely assess CAB & student programming to ensure it meets learning objectives and student interests.
