Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking to fill a very critical role for a Director of Information Technology position. This position is 100% remote.
- This role will report to the IT Senior Director within the Peraton Risk Decision Group (RDG) and help define the forward vision of a project management, business analyst, and cyber security team.
- RDG is a unique business focused on background investigations within the federal government space.
- Experience in the background investigation is preferred. Additionally, work will be conducted primarily within RDG analytic tools.
In this position the Director will be responsible for the following:
- General experience leading project management, business analytics, and cyber security teams
- General experience coordinating with Application Development, Database, Infrastructure, Data Analytics, Help Desk, and other IT teams to accomplished cyber requirements.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with numerous operational stakeholders to gather key requirements and develop action plans to execute needed results.
- Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, IT support, and client services.
- You must be able to operate within an enterprise IT environment and communicate effectively with not only other IT work streams but also interface with operational business leaders
- Supervise professional and technical personnel performing in their regular disciplines.
- May serve as the primary technical and management interface for the business unit and senior staff.
- Maintaining ongoing knowledge of Federal legislation, regulation, policies, and practices related to information systems security
- Responsible for managing the multiple ongoing IT projects across a spectrum
- Responsible for designing, developing, and recommending integrated system security solutions.
- Provides management services including general administrative oversight, time accounting, financial tracking, cost projection, inventory management, personnel evaluation, and support.
- Responsible for assisting in the leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary staff.
- This position will analyze and define information security technology requirements for network, infrastructure, database, and web application systems.
- Recommending courses of action and policies to senior IT leadership and management that allow Peraton to securely meet its organizational goals
- Development of risk mitigation programs, action plans and costs required to address the risks identified during assessments and audits
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to obtain a Top-Secret level clearance
- 10+ years’ experience managing and leading numerous teams
- 10+ years of experience developing staff career growth and technical skillset
- 5+ years of experience preparing and approving Standard Operating Procedures, Protocols, and other technical documentation
- Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- 5+ years experience mananging IT teams
- 5+ years of experience working with project management, information technology, application development, help desk, and cyber security teams
- 5+ years of experience with Background Investigation industry
- BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience leading project management, business analyst, and cyber security teams
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- 5+ years of experience preparing and maintaining information security assessment and authorization documentation
- Knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently and within a group and maintain focus on strategic objectives
- Ability to foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including technical writing experience
- Lead through a collaborative environment that values insight, promotes continuous learning, and fosters innovation
