Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems and has been revolutionizing modern flight for over 100 years. Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead with strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders to successfully drive technical execution for the critical F135 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) Mechanical System project team. Based within our Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) organization, you will take part-level ownership of core bearing compartments (including bearings, seals, and housings). In this high-visibility role, you will spearhead Component IPT (CIPT) task planning, manage key supplier and customer interfaces, and leverage your full-lifecycle engineering experience—from initial design through field support—to deliver next-generation military propulsion milestones.

What You Will Do:

  • Accountable, part-level ownership on behalf of the CIPT, ensuring timely communication, proactive risk management, and consistent execution of all assigned program requirements.
  • Lead the IPT in identifying, managing, and closing key technical risks and issues, ensuring each item has a defined action plan, measurable progress, and closure within agreed timelines.
  • Guide the IPT through successful technical and program reviews by setting clear preparation milestones, validating technical content, and ensuring all deliverables meet program standards.
  • Manage IPT budgets and schedules by monitoring performance against established baselines, addressing variances promptly, and ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery of commitments.
  • Drive IPT technical and business metrics by establishing measurable targets, tracking performance, and implementing corrective actions to ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Represent the IPT in interactions and presentations with Customers, the SIPT, IPMT, and Senior Leadership, delivering concise, accurate, and timely technical and program updates.
  • Provide technical support for validation engine builds and engine test activities, ensuring required tasks are completed accurately, safely, and within scheduled test windows.
  • Travel Requirement: 10% (Domestic).

What You Will Learn:

  • Develop leadership skills by managing a cross-functional engineering team, coordinating technical execution, managing budgets and schedules, mitigating risks, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Gain deep technical expertise by taking ownership of critical engine components such as bearing compartments, bearings, seals, and housings throughout the entire product lifecycle—from design and development to testing and field support.
  • Extensive exposure to collaborating with internal leadership, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams while communicating technical progress and resolving complex engineering challenges.
  • Improve engineering processes by applying Lean principles, monitoring technical and business performance metrics, solving complex problems, and mentoring junior engineers to enhance overall team performance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience within the aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, military, or logistics industries leading complex engineering projects or cross-functional technical teams managing technical risks, engineering execution, or product development activities.
