The opportunity

 

EY US is currently looking for qualified professionals interested in helping US federal, state and local agencies better manage their programs and projects. If you are looking to make an impact in how our government provides its services, then come join our Transformation Execution Team.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

As a member of our Business Transformation Team, you’ll work with government clients to support and improve a broad range of Program Management (PM) operations, including integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management. You will have the opportunity to apply your PM knowledge to meaningful and complex projects, while working with multidisciplinary teams and industry leaders. We also will provide access to robust PM training programs and in-house PM leadership.

 

The Business Analyst supports the program by providing objective business architecture analysis, strategic planning support, and comprehensive documentation and coordination services. This role focuses on aligning business processes, policy, and program operations to support current and future initiatives, including the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) transition, data collection modernization, and stakeholder engagement.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide objective analysis of the program business architecture to support upcoming, ongoing, and future projects, including assessment of impacts associated with proposed changes.
  • Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and recommend modern business methods and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support integrated strategic and project-based planning efforts, ensuring alignment with program objectives and anticipated future requirements.
  • Assist program leadership with strategic planning documentation, presentations, briefings, and administrative support activities.
  • Develop and maintain standardized documentation templates, workflows, and governance practices across the program.
  • Provide coordination and analytical support for Advisory Process Board (APB) activities, including tracking APB recommendations, analyzing impacts to the program, and supporting implementation planning.
  • Assist program leadership in preparing materials, briefings, and documentation for APB meetings and related subcommittee engagements.
  • Assist program leadership with strategic planning documentation, presentations, briefings, and administrative support activities
  • Assist the program with NIBRS certification and recertification activities, including documentation preparation and coordination support.
  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding the uniformity of NIBRS data code mapping to state statutes.
  • Support the development of communications, outreach materials, and presentations related to program initiatives and milestones.
  • Develop and maintain program documentation including business process documentation, standard operating procedures, and desktop procedures.
  • Create NIBRS e-learning modules and support development of additional program collection-related e-learning modules.
  • Coordinate with Data Analysts, Data Quality Analysts, system engineers, and policy staff to ensure business requirements are clearly documented and aligned with technical implementations.
