Lakeside Foods is seeking a Cost Accountant to support the accurate and timely costing, reporting, and analysis of products across Lakeside Foods, subsidiaries, and joint ventures. This role plays a key part in financial reporting, product costing, and business decision support through strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

What You’ll Do

Prepare and analyze cost reporting for direct labor, overhead, warehouse, selling, G&A, and interest using appropriate costing methods
Support monthly, fiscal, budget, and projection close schedules
Develop and maintain profit‑by‑product reporting and supporting schedules
Support preparation of Income Statement components, including cost of goods sold and warehouse costs
Prepare customer profitability reporting and support Sales with pricing analysis
Ensure accuracy of cost data through proper use of accounting systems and tools
Review or support work of cost accounting team members as needed
Perform assigned product costing activities with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Support special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
2–4 years of accounting experience with ability to apply accounting principles

Skills & Abilities

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and manipulation
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and professional judgment
